Brent District Scouts Announces Coronation Camp Celebration

Brent District Scouts are excited to announce the upcoming Coronation Camp, celebrating the coronation of King Charles III. The camp will take place over the extended bank holiday weekend from Friday, 5th May to Monday, 8th May 2023, at the Lees Wood Scout Campsite.

Saturday 6th, will be an open day for family and friends to visit the camp, and we will have a big screen so people can watch the coronation.

The camp promises to be a fun-filled, action-packed event with various activities for all ages. The camp includes a fancy dress competition, where participants can come dressed as any King or Queen from history or fiction, a Sedan Chairs & Racing event, a Big Screen for movie nights, Country Fair Games, Crafts, and a Jousting Display.

The event is open to all members of Brent District Scouts, including Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers. The camp provides a unique opportunity for young people to learn new skills, make new friends, and have a great time in a safe and inclusive environment.

"We are excited to announce this Camp and to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III with our members, families, and friends," said David Kitchen, District Commissioner of Brent District Scouts. "The camp is a great opportunity for our young people to learn new skills, make new friends, and have a great time in a safe and inclusive environment. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the camp and making memories that will last a lifetime."

The camp is a great opportunity for members of Brent District Scouts to come together to celebrate King Charles III's coronation, learn new skills, make new friends, and have fun in the great outdoors.
