Brent District Scouts Announces St. George's Day Parade in Wembley

Brent District Scouts are excited to announce the return of the St. Georges Day Parade to Wembley. On the Sunday nearest to the 23rd of April, Scouts and Guides will parade through the high streets, celebrating St. George's Day and renewing their promises as members of the largest youth movement in the world.

The parade will start at 2 pm sharp, with groups mustering at the South end of Wembley Park Boulevard in front of Premier Inn. The parade will then proceed North on Wembley Park Boulevard, turning right onto Engineers Way, then left onto Olympic Way and finishing at Olympic Square. The parade is expected to take around 20 minutes. Friends and family will be able to watch the parade on Olympic Way. The Mayor of Brent will also be invited to take the salute from the steps of Wembley Stadium.

After the parade, groups and families will walk to the Lycée International de Londres Winston Churchill for the Award & Promise Renewal Ceremony. The ceremony will include a flag ceremony, live music from youth members, youth member awards, adult service awards, and promise renewal.

"The St. Georges Day Parade is a special event for our members, as it is an opportunity for them to celebrate everything they have achieved during the year and to remind themselves of what it means to be a Scout," said David Kitchen, District Commissioner of Brent District Scouts. "We encourage all young people to make every effort to attend this event and to be a part of this special celebration."
